<br /><br />CONVEY has been together since late 2004, although some of us have been playing music together since our elementary school years. Now in high school, and having worked through both style and lineup changes, the band has come a long way. We feel that through years of music education and previous experience in other bands prior to the making of CONVEY, we have gained experience not often found in such a young band. The most recent addition to the band, Ben Cohen, will be attending Berklee College of Music in 2008 with a partial scholarship. Our alternative rock style with progressive influences grabs the attention of even the most casual listener. The band lineup is as follows:<br /><br />

Despite the various lineup changes we have had throughout the years, we feel that our music speaks for itself. Ralph Waldo Emerson, in his essay, Self-Reliance, stated, “The soul created the arts wherever they have flourished. It was in his own mind that the artist sought the model. It was an application of his own thought to the thing to be done and the conditions to be observed.” Rather than contriving its music based on what is “popular” or expected, CONVEY is a band whose melodies, riffs, rhythms and lyrics derive from a free-flowing and metaphysical place. Songs and lyrics are often written during the latest hours of the night, when our creative processes may transcend our inhibitions. The final product is a dynamic, jarring, chaotic, controlled, melodic and meaningful glimpse into our deepest sentiments. CONVEY fans are looking for more than a repetitive catchy phrase. CONVEY listeners enjoy our music because it takes them to a place on the edge of reality that is very close and very far away from the world."^^xsd:string
