At the beginning of 2006, the Trabant EP is the Amelie’s 1st auto-produced work. It gets good reviews from specialised websites and magazines. Meanwhile, the band plays several gigs and festivals, and opens some summer tour concerts of Baustelle.<br />
In November 2006, Amelie record 5 songs which give birth to Be Low, the band’s 2nd EP. The artistic production of this very goodly reviewed work is led by Andrea Franchi, collaborator and drummer with well-known Italian songwriter Paolo Benvegnù. <br />

Chi ha detto che in Italia non si possa fare del pop in grado di mettersi a confronto con quello inglese? Questo è ciò che si sono detti gli Amélie.<br />
Agli inizi del 2006, dopo pochi mesi dalla formazione, autoproducono il loro primo lavoro "The Trabant Ep" che raccoglie ottime recensioni dai siti e dalle riviste specializzate. In contemporanea hanno l'opportunità di farsi conoscere grazie alle esibizioni dal vivo nei numerosi concerti e Festival ai quali partecipano, arrivando anche ad aprire diverse esibizioni del tour estivo dei Baustelle.<br />
A novembre 2006 gli Amélie entrano in studio per tirare le somme di un anno di lavoro. Con la produzione artistica di Andrea Franchi, grazie all'aiuto di Paolo Benvegnù, registrano il loro secondo Ep "Be Low". <br />
