"Punk band Autonomadic formed in 2002 when guitarist/vocalist Justin recruited drummer Chad and bassist Todd through an ad in a local Seattle newspaper. Influenced by bands such as Social Distortion, Pixies, Hüsker Dü, The Clash, Minutemen, and Descendants, the trio began crafting a new sound based on the music, attitude, and philosophy of the ’80’s underground indie movement.<br /><br />After a year of work, Autonomadic entered Seattle’s Vagrant Studios in July 2003 to record a six-song EP, Sterilize The Poor In Spirit. That summer the band began touring outside of Seattle, playing further and further up and down the West Coast. Over the past three years they've been to almost every major city in the western US and Canada, including Anchorage, Alaska; Calgary, Alberta; Edmonton, Alberta; Los Angeles, California; Portland, Oregon; Reno, Nevada; San Francisco, California; Vancouver, British Columbia; and many smaller towns and cities in between.<br /><br />Autonomadic went back to Vagrant in February 2005 to record their first full-length album, Lies, Fear, and Hate. It includes twenty songs spanning their first three years of existence. The album’s sound is darker, thick with 70’s-era guitar crunch, but still captures the manic drumming, throbbing bass, and intense vocals of Autonomadic’s live shows.<br /><br />Soon after, burned out after three years and too many miles on the road, Autonomadic’s original drummer, Chad, left the band. To replace him, the band turned to Baker, a young drummer versed in a variety of musical styles, but with an abiding passion for punk rock. The band starting back touring in the spring of 2006, and plans to continue promoting their music in cities and towns up and down the West Coast."^^xsd:string
